Gerlock Towing & Heavy Haul is looking for a reliable, professional Heavy Towing / Heavy Haul driver to join our team of experts. 

This is a fast-paced position that requires attention to detail, precise loading and securement, documentation, and compliance with safety regulations.

Duties:

• Operate heavy-duty tow trucks, recovery equipment, and transport vehicles safely and professionally.
• Perform heavy-duty towing and recovery services for commercial vehicles, trucks, trailers, buses, motorhomes, and specialized equipment.
• Transport construction, industrial, and rental equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, compact equipment, and other machinery.
• Operate heavy rollbacks, tractors, lowboy trailers, dovetail trailers, Landoll trailers, and other specialized transport equipment.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Perform basic rigging, winching, and load securement procedures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Complete required permits, logs, inspection reports, and transportation documentation accurately.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, law enforcement, contractors, and team members.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and DOT regulations.
• Respond to emergency recovery and transportation situations when required.

Qualifications: 

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating heavy-duty wreckers, rollbacks, tractors, lowboys, dovetails, Landolls, or similar equipment preferred.
• Experience transporting construction, industrial, and rental equipment preferred.
• Experience with load securement, chains, binders, and rigging procedures preferred.
• Heavy-duty towing and recovery experience preferred.
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening and meet DOT physical requirements.
• Strong work ethic, professionalism, and dependability.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are a plus.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Must be safety-focused and customer-service oriented.
